In this beautiful season, things are “fall-ing” into place for our two families. Both have moved to rental housing. The Venezuelan family is taking advantage of English learning options and have children enrolled at Meeker. Licida (our Honduran family) works at ISU Dining, only .7 of a mile from where they live.
Our November 12 Listen and Learn from Our Immigrant and Refugee Neighbors was held at Collegiate United Methodist /Wesley Foundation. It featured a delicious potluck buffet and a program highlighting stories from immigrants and refugees from Honduras, the Ukraine, and a video from incoming refugees from Haiti.
Thank you to all who took the time to fill out the ASIP survey. It will help us move forward in ways you will support.
